Dwyane Wade Roasts Bulls Fan Who Called Him Team's 'Weakest Link' on Twitter
Hours before his former teammate LeBron James battled arguably the greatest NBA team ever assembled, Dwyane Wade responded to a Twitter troll.
On Monday afternoon, an upset Chicago Bulls fan vented about the 35-year-old guard, who apparently performed below the observer's expectations:
Instead of ignoring the insult, Wade pushed back, as seen in the first tweet above.
The Bulls went 41-41 before losing their opening-round playoff bout against the Boston Celtics. Wade has until June 27 to exercise a $23.8 million player option for 2017-18. There's at least one Bulls fan who presumably hopes the veteran guard declines, but Wade is unlikely to fetch another huge deal after missing 22 games and posting a career-worst 43.4 field-goal percentage.
While the three-time champion has regressed, "weakest link" is harsh for someone who averaged 18.3 points, 4.5 rebounds and 3.8 assists per contest.
