Real Madrid Transfer News: Kylian Mbappe Loan to Help £100M Deal, Top Rumours

Christopher SimpsonJun 13, 2017

Real Madrid are reportedly confident of snapping up AS Monaco starlet Kylian Mbappe in a £100 million deal by allowing him to remain at the Ligue 1 side on loan for a year.

According to AS (h/t MailOnline's Matthew Smith), Los Blancos believe they can fend off Paris Saint-Germain, and the offer of a year-long loan will "sweeten the deal" in their favour.

Per the Telegraph's Jason Burt, Monaco have previously turned down a £103 million offer from Real, which did not include the Frenchman remaining there for a season.

The 18-year-old enjoyed a stellar breakout year with Monaco, ending the campaign with 26 goals and 14 assists to his name as well as a Ligue 1 winner's medal.

According to Le Parisien (h/t football writer Matt Spiro), Monaco are desperate to keep Mbappe this summer and are trying to convince him to stay put:

Football writer Liam Canning believes he would be best served by remaining there for the time being too:

Real's offer of Mbappe staying at Monaco on loan could be a shrewd move by the Spanish giants, as it would allow him to do just that.

Further, the added incentive for the Ligue 1 champions of having Mbappe to call upon next year as part of this deal could sway it in Real's favour.

However, if Monaco are determined not to do any deals in this transfer window, they will be aware that another good season will increase his value even higher ahead of next summer and so they would be remiss to agree to a fee now.

Landing him could therefore still be tricky, but the added loan incentive does make it more likely.

Meanwhile, Real are reportedly considering an offer from Manchester United for Alvaro Morata after rejecting a bid from AC Milan, according to the player's agent, Juanma Lopez.

According to Marca, Lopez told Calciomercato.com: "They [United] are a club with great glamour, [they are] a very interesting option. I can say that their proposal is a very, very important one and now the decision rests with Real. I cannot say [how close it is]. We will see."

As for Milan, their offer was deemed "unsatisfactory" by Madrid.

The striker managed 20 goals last season but spent much of the campaign restricted to the bench.
