Sidney Crosby Gives P.K. Subban a Face Wash During Game 5 of Stanley Cup Final

Zac WassinkJun 8, 2017

On Thursday evening, superstars Sidney Crosby and P.K. Subban got involved in a scrap late in the first period of Game 5 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Pittsburgh Penguins and Nashville Predators at PPG Paints Arena.

With under two minutes remaining in the frame, the two players became entangled behind the Pittsburgh net.

Crosby ended up on top of Subban, and the two-time Stanley Cup winner responded by swiping across his opponent's face with his hand several times.

Both players were awarded penalties and sent to their dressing rooms early for their involvement in the incident, even though it appeared Crosby was the guiltier party.

The Penguins took a 3-0 lead into the first intermission, and the hosts then expanded that lead to 5-0 early halfway through the second period.
