Czech Republic coach Jan Suchoparek has molded a capable squad built on technique and guile in the final third. By contrast, those qualities have been strangely absent from Brazil's performances so far.
Carlos Amadeu has seen his team fail to click in forward areas, scoring just once through two matches. Key attackers such as Marquinhos Cipriano and striker Gabriel Novaes have struggled for form and consistency.
The Czech Republic haven't had the same problem. Not when Ondrej Sasinka has found the net in both the 3-2 win over Scotland and the 2-0 defeat of Indonesia last time out.
Sasinka is just one part of a deep and talented attacking rotation for Suchoparek's men. Striker Martin Graiciar is also a player who can pose a considerable threat, particularly in the box.
It's not easy to pick against Suchoparek's side, given the contrasting form of both teams. However, Brazil have greater motivation, needing a win just to survive.
Ultimately, a score draw seems the most likely result, with the Czech Republic set to reach the semi-final.
Prediction: Brazil 1-1 Czech Republic
