Anthony Rizzo Announces Engagement to Girlfriend Emily Vakos

Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo announced Thursday he's engaged to girlfriend Emily Vakos.

According to The Big Lead's Ryan Phillips, Vakos is a real estate broker in Chicago.

The engagement continues what has been an eventful last 12 months for the three-time All-Star. In addition to winning his first Silver Slugger and Gold Glove Awards in 2016, he helped the Cubs win their first World Series in a century.

After Bryant married his girlfriend, Jessica Delp, in January, it looks like the Cubs players will have to plan on attending another wedding in the near future.
