Michael Phelps Participates in WSOP Tag Team Event
With his swimming career over, Michael Phelps has found a new way to occupy his time by taking part in the 2017 World Series of Poker tag team event.
Per David Schoen of the Las Vegas Review-Journal, Phelps is teaming up with Antonio Esfandiari, Jeff Gross and Brian Rast in the $10,000 buy-in Tag Team No-limit Hold 'em tournament that started in Las Vegas on Wednesday.
"Really, just being able to come out here—especially this event, the Tag Team event—it's just fun, getting together with a couple of guys and literally just enjoying ourselves," he said. "It's been something I've wanted to do for a long time, and now I semi have the freedom to."
