Model Laci Kay Somers Denies Rumors She Was with Tiger Woods Before DUI Arrest

Model Laci Kay Somers shot down rumors Thursday that she was with Tiger Woods prior to his DUI arrest in Jupiter, Florida, on Monday.

The rumor originated Tuesday on TerezOwens.com.

According to TMZ Sports, Somers says she doesn't know Woods, nor has she ever spoken or corresponded with him in any way.

She also said she was in Los Angeles with her mom at the time, while Tiger was in Florida.

Woods said in a statement (h/t ESPN.com's Bob Harig) that his state on the night of his arrest was the result of an "unexpected reaction" to medications: 

"I understand the severity of what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions. I want the public to know that alcohol was not involved. What happened was an unexpected reaction to prescribed medications. I didn't realize the mix of medications had affected me so strongly. I would like to apologize with all my heart to my family, friends and the fans. I expect more from myself too. I will do everything in my power to ensure this never happens again."

The 41-year-old has undergone multiple back surgeries and hasn't played in a tournament since February.

Woods is a 14-time major champion, but his last major victory came at the 2008 U.S. Open.
