Matt Barnes Ruled Out for Game 2 vs. Trail Blazers with Ankle Injury
Golden State Warriors wing Matt Barnes has been ruled out for Wednesday's Game 2 Western Conference matchup against the Portland Trail Blazers at Oracle Arena, per Connor Letourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle.
Kevin Durant was already ruled out, per ESPN's Marc Stein, with Shaun Livingston also unavailable.
"We're pretty thin," head coach Steve Kerr said about his lineup.
Barnes has been dealing with foot and ankle injuries for the past couple of weeks. Not only did he miss the first postseason game Sunday, he hasn't been on the court since April 8.
He would be especially valuable filling in for the injured Durant as he did toward the end of the regular season, but instead, the Warriors will have to rely upon Andre Iguodala, Ian Clark and possibly James Michael McAdoo.
Golden State enters Game 2 with a 1-0 series lead over the Blazers.
