Quarterback Patrick Mahomes is generating buzz as a potential first-round pick in the 2017 NFL draft next week, and he's offered some insight about the teams that may have taken a keen interest in him.

In particular, Mahomes believes that Houston Texans head coach Bill O'Brien is very intrigued by his talents, per NFL.com

I feel like a lot of coaches like me, but especially coach O'Brien. I think my personality and how real I am, those are things beyond what I can do on the field that he likes. It seemed like the way I was answering questions, I think he knew that I knew what was going on. You can tell when coaches have a confidence in you.

Mahomes also talked about his pre-draft workouts with the Arizona Cardinals, Cleveland Browns, Chicago Bears and New York Jets.

"I felt like the visits with most of those clubs came after I had a good workout, and they invited me afterward," he said. "That tells me they saw something they liked and they want to know you a little better."

B/R's Matt Miller noted in his most recent scouting notebook the Cardinals and Kansas City Chiefs "really like" Mahomes.

In the same article, Miller also had the Chiefs selecting Mahomes in the first round with the 27th overall pick.
