Ray Rice Will Contribute to NFL's Annual Social Responsibility Presentation
The NFL's social responsibility presentation given to players and staff this year will feature a video message from former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice.
"We shot a video that just highlights everything that I've been talking about decision-making, how things happened in my life, how things unfolded," Rice said of his participation in an interview with espnW.com's Jane McManus. "The guys get to hear it from me, how it unraveled."
McManus noted it's the first time Rice has worked with the NFL in an official capacity since video of him punching his wife, Janay, surfaced in 2014, when the couple was engaged.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
USA Today's Christine Brennan reported the NFL approached Rice about appearing in a video for the program. Retired wide receiver Steve Smith Jr., Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Witten and Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver Torrey Smith will take part as well to discuss their experiences growing up with domestic violence in their homes.
In a November 2015 interview on SportsCenter, Rice expressed his desire to work with the NFL to raise awareness about the issue of domestic violence.
"I think the NFL has such a huge platform and I've seen the platform I had when I was playing, when I would go out and help people," he said. "I go out now, and I don't have an NFL platform, but I'm going out there and helping people out. So if I never played a down again, why not see if I could use their platform to go out there and help make a difference."
The Ravens released Rice in September 2014 and he subsequently received an indefinite suspension from the league. An arbitrator reinstated Rice in December 2014, but he has yet to sign with another team.
The 30-year-old told McManus he still hopes to have another chance to play in the NFL.
