NFL Draft 2017 Attendees Announced; Myles Garrett, O.J. Howard Not Included
The NFL announced its complete list of 2017 draft invitees Thursday, headlined by Alabama Crimson Tide defensive lineman Jonathan Allen, LSU Tigers running back Leonard Fournette and Clemson Tigers quarterback Deshaun Watson.
NFL director of communications Randall Liu relayed the complete breakdown of prospects slated to make the trip to Philadelphia on April 27:
Among the notable names not included are Alabama tight end O.J. Howard and Texas A&M edge-rusher Myles Garrett.
However, that's not much of a surprise considering the Houston Chronicle's Brent Zwerneman reported on Feb. 10 that Garrett would skip the festivities and watch from home with his family.
Howard, too, appears to have made other plans in lieu of having a chance to shake the hand of Commissioner Roger Goodell on draft night.
In attendance, though, will be North Carolina Tar Heels quarterback Mitchell Trubisky—whose path on draft night figures to be tracked closely.
According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Cleveland Browns have yet to come to a decision on the No. 1 overall pick and are entertaining the idea of taking Trubisky over Garrett with draft night two weeks away.
