Dustin Johnson Will Play in Wells Fargo Championship After Back Injury
After missing the 2017 Masters due to a back injury, Dustin Johnson has committed to play in the Wells Fargo Championship starting May 4.
Per Ron Green Jr. of Global Golf Post, Johnson officially entered the 2017 Wells Fargo Championship.
Johnson was the betting favorite heading into the Masters after winning three straight PGA Tour events.
The day before the Masters was set to begin, Johnson injured his back falling down a flight of stairs at the house he was renting in Augusta. He was forced to withdraw from the year's first major as a result after trying to warm up in hopes of playing.
The injury was the only thing that's gone wrong for Johnson in 2017. He has three wins and five top-10 finishes in seven events and has climbed to No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
