Russell Westbrook Denies Jamal Murray with Emphatic Swat

Oklahoma City Thunder guard Russell Westbrook took to the skies to deny Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray in the first quarter of Wednesday's game at Chesapeake Energy Arena.

With under four minutes to play in the frame, Murray drove toward the basket, eyeing a layup and two points.     

He apparently didn't notice the 2016-17 MVP candidate swooping in from behind, as Westbrook soared and then swatted away the ball with authority.

Maybe the 28-year-old will try averaging at least 10 blocks a game next year.
