
Kofi Kingston Underwent Ankle Surgery, Will Be Out for 'Several Weeks'
WWE Superstar Kofi Kingston will be missing from ring action after it was confirmed the wrestler has suffered an ankle injury.
According to the WWE's official website, the New Day member has undergone surgery as he begins his rehabilitation.
A statement from WWE physician Dr. Chris Amann read:

"During the attack by The Revival, Kofi injured his right ankle and heard a crack, and was unable to put weight on his leg following the attack. Further evaluation and an MRI revealed that the attack had caused fragments of bone to break off the ankle bone (talus), requiring arthroscopic surgery to remove the bone chips from the damaged joint.

Kingston reignited his career after joining Big E and Xavier Woods to form the New Day, which has become one of the company's most popular tag-team stables.
The trio were picked to host the recent WrestleMania extravaganza, further cementing their popularity amongst wrestling fans.
The Florida resident Kingston has won a total of 12 championships since joining WWE in 2008 and has gained significant success in both singles and tag-team competition.
