John Wall Shuts Down Josh Richardson's Shot with an Epic Block

John Wall took flight Saturday night against the Miami Heat. 

Heat guard Josh Richardson grabbed a steal and ran it back for a layup attempt late in the second quarter at Verizon Center.

A successful shot would have given Miami a five-point edge.

But not on Wall's watch. 

The Wizards point guard ran up behind Richardson at the last moment and swatted the ball so forcefully it bounced off the backboard and out past the three-point line.
