Tramaine Brock Released by 49ers After Alleged Domestic Violence Incident
The San Francisco 49ers announced on April 7 they released cornerback Tramaine Brock.
Earlier that day, Robert Handa of NBC Bay Area reported Brock had been arrested for an alleged domestic incident. Robert Salonga of the San Jose Mercury News confirmed Brock's arrest with the Santa Clara Police Department for an "alleged domestic violence incident."
On Monday, Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area reported Brock was already injured, so being released on a "failed physical" is a technicality.
ABC7 News reported Brock was booked and released from Santa Clara County Main Jail on April 7.
Brock told David Louie of ABC7 News after being released he had "nothing to say" about the situation.
The 28-year-old Brock joined the 49ers in 2010 as an undrafted free agent. He has been a starter for the team for the past four seasons and made a career-high 16 starts last season.
