It occurred less than two days before one of Atletico's biggest games of the season, as they make the short trip across the capital city to face rivals Real Madrid on Saturday. Koke has been included in the club's squad for the La Liga showdown, the club confirmed on the eve of the match.
The 25-year-old will be hoping to continue Atletico's fine recent form, as they've won their last five in a row in La Liga. Koke remains a crucial part of Diego Simeone's team, with four goals and six assists in La Liga in 2016-17.
