Elfrid Payton Throws Alley-Oop off Backboard for Aaron Gordon

Orlando Magic guard Elfrid Payton put some flair on an alley-oop assist late in the third quarter of Thursday's game against the Brooklyn Nets at Amway Center. 

With under two minutes to play in the frame, the Magic began a three-on-two break that resulted in Payton accepting the ball on the cusp of the paint. 

The 23-year-old threw a perfect bounce pass off the backboard for teammate Aaron Gordon, who soared in the air and lost his shoe upon takeoff. The forward finished the run with a massive two-handed dunk and a chuckle. 

Sometimes, a boring assist just won't do.
