Arden Key Present at LSU Scrimmage, Hints at Return to Team on Twitter
A couple of months after declaring a leave of absence from the team, LSU defensive end Arden Key appears ready to return.
The junior posted an encouraging message on his Twitter account:
According to Alex Hickey of SEC Country, Key was also spotted at the team's practice Thursday, although he didn't participate in the scrimmage.
Key's absence was first announced in mid-February, with head coach Ed Orgeron noting it was due to unspecified personal reasons.
Despite the mystery, his father reported he was healthy and fine, per Ross Dellenger of The Advocate. He also remained enrolled in the school during this period.
Orgeron has not commented on a timetable for Key's return.
Considering Key led the team with 11 sacks last season to go with 55 tackles (sixth on LSU), his presence is an important one for the Tigers in 2017.
