Night 10 Recap

Van Gerwen and Wade treated the Irish crowd to a classic as they produced exceptional averages in the their contest in Dublin.

Wade produced his very best form against the world champion and stormed to a deserved 4-2 lead after completing three 14-dart legs and an additional 13-dart finish to stun the Dutchman.

However, Mighty Mike would not be undone, and he moved through the gears with precision and pace as the crowd went wild.

Van Gerwen quickly rattled off four legs in a row to make it 6-4, but his English opponent stayed in touch. Wade forced a deciding leg, and the 2009 Premier League champion took a stranglehold, leaving 41 to claim a share of the points.

However, Van Gerwen produced one of the great checkouts of his career, finishing on 138 to win the tie in typical fashion.

The Dutch ace ended the game with a stunning average of 113.62, but Wade recorded 110.82 in a high-class affair that had fans purring.

PDC Darts shared the dramatic finish:

Van Gerwen eulogised about the battle with Wade after his amazing victory, per PDC:

Despite not being at his vintage best, Taylor proved too sharp for Van Barneveld as he collected victory.

The Power's average of 105.87 disarmed the Dutch legend, and he edged ahead to lead 4-3 before turning up the heat.

Taylor collected the 7-3 win as Barney folded in what was a milestone match for the veteran, per PDC:

Chisnall's recovery in form continued, and he was unlucky not to dispose of Wright, who appeared hampered by a new set of darts in his hands.

Chizzy has struggled this season, but his calmness at the oche has returned in recent weeks in the Premier League.

The St Helens-born star took control at 6-3, but Wright was determined not to lose in a below-par game for Snakebite.

Wright rattled off three in a row, denying Chisnall the win with the smell of victory in his nostrils.

The PDC shared the vital statistics from the score draw:

Lewis turned back the clock to throw his best darts, and he skipped past Anderson with surprising ease.

Jackpop ran out the 7-3 victor, with the Flying Scotsman unable to find consistency in a poor performance.

The final match of the night saw Van Barneveld and Wade step up to the oche once more, and the Dutchman appeared tired and fatigued.

However, the Machine was also suffering with a lack of impetus after a two-hour wait after his defeat to Van Gerwen, and Barney crawled to a 3-1 lead.

Wade was seriously struggling with his form and focus as the Dutchman held a 5-2 lead, and the English talent was clearly drained on his 34th birthday.

Barney collected an easy win against a failing opponent, and the points were his at the end of the night.
