Manchester United Transfer News: Daley Blind Return to Ajax, Latest Rumours
Manchester United's Daley Blind may move back to Ajax this summer after struggling for games under Jose Mourinho, per Phil Thomas for the Sun, who reported the Dutch club will "ask about the chances of re-signing him."
The 27-year-old, who was born in Amsterdam and came through Ajax's youth academy, has reportedly not yet spoken to the United hierarchy about a contract extension at Old Trafford. His deal is set to expire in the summer of 2018.
Ajax are waiting to find out whether Mourinho considers Blind to be a part of his plans for the 2017-18 campaign before launching an official bid, per Thomas. The Dutchman has started 16 Premier League games for United this season, although many of these have been at left-back, which has been a problematic area for Mourinho.

Blind joined the club for £13.8 million in September 2014, but despite initially playing as a central midfielder, he has frequently been employed as a defender by Louis van Gaal and Mourinho.
Thomas also stated United are set for "another summer overhaul" and that Ajax are hopeful Blind will be deemed surplus to requirements.

Mourinho's reported search for a new left-back suggests Ajax will get their way. United are "stepping up" their efforts to sign 19-year-old Celtic left-back Kieran Tierney, per David McDonnell for the Mirror.
Tierney has been capped three times by Scotland, and McDonnell reported the defender is also a target for Chelsea, Manchester City, and Arsenal.
With some major changes set to take place at Old Trafford this summer, Blind may not be a United player for much longer. But until then, he will continue to play an important role as Mourinho aims to qualify for the Champions League and end his inaugural campaign with United on a high.
