Leonard Fournette Down 12 Pounds from NFL Draft Combine at LSU Pro Day
LSU running back Leonard Fournette weighed in at 228 pounds at his pro day, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter, 12 pounds lighter than his weigh-in at the NFL Scouting Combine.
His weight became a topic of conversation at the combine after he was heavier than expected.
"It was surprising," Fournette noted at the time, per Chase Goodbread of NFL.com. "I drank a lot of water before I weighed in, so it was water weight. It went away completely. [I wanted to weigh] 235, which is what I played at in the season."
Nonetheless, Fournette looked much better at his pro day, as an AFC scout told Albert Breer of NFL.com:
Fournette is widely considered a likely top-10 pick and perhaps even a top-five selection at this year's NFL draft. Mike Mayock of NFL.com listed him as his top running back, while B/R's Matt Miller had him as the No. 2 player on his most recent big board.
