Lennox Lewis Says Floyd Mayweather vs. Conor McGregor Is Not a Good Fight

Former heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis has slammed the potential of a cross-discipline clash between UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor and retired boxing legend Floyd Mayweather Jr.

The possibility of the pair meeting for a fight has been mooted for some time, but Lewis, 51, said it would not be a technically intriguing clash, although he conceded there would be huge interest in it, per TMZ Sports.

"I don't even think it's a good fight," Lewis said. "Conor's great at all different styles, but you've got Floyd who's a master of one and Conor's trying to box him at his style. It's a great spectacle, but I don't think it will be a great fight."

Lewis continued that Mayweather would win a boxing fight between the pair, but that the undefeated 40-year-old would lose to Irishman McGregor, 28, in another discipline—see the full interview below:

American Mayweather retired from boxing with a 49-0 record in September of 2015.
