Dallas Reportedly a 'Favorite' to Host 2018 NFL Draft at Cowboys Headquarters
The Dallas area has reportedly emerged as a favorite to host the NFL draft in 2018.
According to ESPN's Field Yates (h/t ESPN's Adam Schefter), the draft is slated to be held at the Cowboys' new headquarters in Frisco, Texas, should they win the bid.
Per Yates, Philadelphia is also in the running for the 2018 draft, while Kansas City and Green Bay are viewed as longshots.
The draft was held in New York every year from 1965 through 2014. In 2015 and 2016, the draft took place in Chicago, and Philadelphia will play host this year.
Should Dallas be selected in 2018, it will mark a first for the state of Texas.
It would also become the eighth different city or area to host the NFL draft, joining New York, Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, Milwaukee, Pittsburgh and Washington (D.C.).
