Kylian Mbappe Says PSG an 'Attractive Club' with Monaco Exit Rumours Swirling

Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe has heaped praise on Ligue 1 rivals Paris Saint-Germain amid rumours that he could depart the Stade Louis II in the summer.

Per TF1 show Telefoot (via ESPN.com's Jonathan Johnson), PSG are one of the few clubs who could afford the 18-year-old following his remarkable breakout season in 2016-17, and Mbappe spoke very highly of the Parc des Princes outfit:

"

Today, PSG is a big European club. It is one of the top six worldwide. Of course they are an attractive club. Their image did take a hit after the Barcelona defeat [in the Champions League] though.

However, the players are still there, they are the same ones who have mastered and dominated Ligue 1 for the past four or five years. They are the same players who have won quadruple titles in a season, so we are talking about major players.

They are at a turning point in their project, so we will see what they decide to do. We will keep an eye on what they are doing.

Mbappe's Monaco lost 4-1 to PSG on Saturday in the final of the Coupe de la Ligue, but Leonardo Jardim's side remain three points clear of the Paris club at the head of the Ligue 1 table.

France international Mbappe has played a key role for Monaco as they attempt to end PSG's four-year dominance of the French title.

He has made a phenomenal contribution during the 2016-17 campaign, playing a part in more than 25 goals across all competitions, per football analyst David O'Brien:

As a result, Mbappe has been heavily linked with a number of major European clubs, including Juventus, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Liverpool and Manchester City, per Telefoot (via Johnson).

Manchester United have also been rumoured to have had a £95 million bid for Mbappe rejected, per Spanish radio station Cadena COPE (via James Benson of the Daily Star).

He is currently contracted to Monaco until 2019 and may well remain at the club past the summer, especially if they win the Ligue 1 title and continue to impress in the UEFA Champions League.

However, Mbappe's latest comments will act as an indication to many that he would be open to a move to PSG should the opportunity arise.
