Nobody can take a story at face value on April 1, a day when lying is celebrated by all. So just in case any of Tom Brady's Instagram followers somehow forgot Super Bowl LI's final outcome, the New England Patriots rallied from down 28-3 to defeat the Atlanta Falcons.
On the Monday morning following New England's improbable comeback, an early edition of the Boston Globe depicted an Atlanta win. ESPN's Field Yates offered evidence of the early-edition blunder:
Brady used the erroneous headline for an April Fools' Day post. The paper's front page photo showed him prone on the turf as Robert Alford returned an interception 82 yards for a Falcons touchdown.
