Sanity Beats Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, Kassius Ohno, Ruby Riot at TakeOver

SAnitY continued its reign of terror in NXT, as it defeated Tye Dillinger, Roderick Strong, Kassius Ohno and Ruby Riot in an eight-person tag team match Saturday at NXT TakeOver: Orlando.

WWE announced that SAnitY had continued its reign:

The match was originally supposed to include No Way Jose with Dillinger, Strong and Riot, but WWE announced Ohno would replace him:

Dillinger has been at odds with SAnitY in recent months due to his refusal to join the group after Sawyer Fulton landed on the shelf with an injury.

The spot eventually went to Killian Dain, who has teamed up with Eric Young, Alexander Wolfe and Nikki Cross to create one of the most dominant forces NXT has to offer.

Young and Dillinger locked horns at NXT TakeOver: San Antonio the night before the Royal Rumble, and Young prevailed due to interference by Dain and Wolfe.

SAnitY continued to give Dillinger problems after that, but the Perfect 10 received a helping hand from Strong and Jose.

Even beating Dillinger, Strong and Jose in a six-man tag on NXT programming wasn't enough to cause SAnitY to move on, however.

It became an even bigger nuisance for Dillinger, Strong and Jose due to the involvement of Cross, but the odds were evened when Riot made her debut, as seen in this video courtesy of WWE's official Twitter account:

After her surprising appearance, Riot explained the rationale behind attempting to take down SAnitY:

SAnitY had largely been dominant throughout the feud against Dillinger, but Riot helped give the team some momentum entering TakeOver.

Even so, Wolfe was confident that a thrown-together team would be unable to stand in the way of a well-oiled machine like SAnitY:

The SAnitY wrestlers had the advantage due to their familiarity in terms of working together, but the opposition was determined to get back at its tormentors.

The match was significant for SAnitY in the sense of ensuring it would continue to be viewed as the most dangerous group in NXT.

It was also big for Dillinger, Strong, Ohno and Riot, though, since they are all singles competitors who needed a win to position themselves well as individuals.

SAnitY was the one that received a boost by coming out on top Saturday, and there is reason to believe that no collection of Superstars is capable of slowing the foursome down.
