
Aaron Hernandez's Fiancee Testifies in Double Homicide Trial
The fiancee of former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez took the stand at Suffolk Superior Court on Thursday during his trial for the 2012 murders of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado.
Per the Associated Press, Shayanna Jenkins-Hernandez testified against Hernandez in the case after being granted immunity and said she "learned to keep her mouth shut and 'not to ask any questions' in certain situations."
Per the AP, Jenkins-Hernandez "said she did not recall" receiving a phone call from Hernandez in the minutes after he is alleged to have shot de Abreu and Furtado.

Hernandez is currently on trial for the murders of de Abreu and Furtado. He's already serving a life sentence in prison without parole for the 2013 murder of Odin Lloyd.
Hernandez is accused of shooting and killing de Abreu and Furtado following a nightclub incident in July 2012. He was indicted two years later on two counts of first-degree murder, three counts of armed assault with intent to murder and an additional count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
