Nick Mangold Reportedly Receiving Free-Agency Interest from New York Giants
After the New York Jets released him in February, veteran center Nick Mangold may not have to move far to find his next home.
The New York Daily News' Pat Leonard reported Monday the New York Giants are considering signing Mangold this offseason.
Should he sign with the Giants, Mangold would join former teammates Brandon Marshall and Geno Smith, both of whom the Giants already brought on.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
At the very least, Mangold could provide added depth to the Giants offensive line as well as push incumbent starter Weston Richburg.
In 2016, New York averaged the fourth-fewest rushing yards per game (88.3) and ranked 24th in adjusted line yards, per Football Outsiders. While those numbers aren't solely the fault of Richburg, he played a role in the Giants' inability to establish the ground game.
After an ankle injury limited Mangold to eight games last year, the Giants should be able to sign him for a reasonable price. Between his experience and continued consistency on the field when he's healthy, the 33-year-old would be a sensible addition to the interior of the line.
