March Madness betting pick, via OddsShark computer: 78.2-71.2 Jayhawks (College basketball picks  on every game)

Why Oregon can cover the spread

While the Jayhawks have enjoyed a lot of recent success against the Pac-12, the Ducks have also done well versus Big 12 foes lately with a 7-3 mark against the spread in their last 10 games.

Oregon has also won 14 of its last 16 SU during March, with the team's lone loss this month coming in the conference tournament championship game to the Arizona Wildcats. In fact, the Ducks are an impressive 11-1 SU and 7-4-1 ATS in their last 12 games overall, the same exact marks as Kansas during that stretch.

Why Kansas can cover the spread

Kansas has not faced Oregon since the 2003 regular season, winning 77-67 but falling just short of covering the spread as 10.5-point home chalk. These are obviously very different teams that will be squaring off against each other here, as the Jayhawks have already set a record for most points scored in school history through the first three rounds of the NCAA tournament.

Kansas will have a bit of a home-court edge at the Sprint Center too, giving the team a great opportunity to get back to their first Final Four since 2012.

Smart betting pick

The Jayhawks have been tested by the Big Ten's Michigan State Spartans and Purdue Boilermakers in the first half of each of their last two games before blowing both of them out. No team in the Big Dance has been as dominant as Kansas, which has won its first three games by an average of 30 points. Oregon's last two games have been decided by a combined four points, including a 69-68 win over the Michigan Wolverines in the Sweet 16 on Thursday.

Those close games will not help the Ducks, who will not know what to do if the Jayhawks get up by double digits. Bet Kansas to win big and cover at online betting sites.

March Madness betting trends

Kansas is 6-1 ATS in its last seven games against teams with winning records.

Oregon is 7-3 ATS in its last 10 games against the Big 12.
