Arsenal Transfer News: Latest Rumours on Alexandre Lacazette, Corentin Tolisso
Arsenal are set for an "unprecedented recruitment effort" this summer, and among their list of targets are Lyon duo Alexandre Lacazette and Corentin Tolisso.
That's according to French outlet L'Equipe (h/t the Mirror), with the signings to be headed by Arsene Wenger, as it appears "increasingly likely" he will remain as Gunners manager beyond this season.
Wenger is in the final year of his contract at Arsenal and the club are out of the UEFA Champions League at the last-16 stage for the seventh season in a row and once again out of the Premier League title race, facing perhaps their toughest battle for a top-four spot.

A significant section of the Emirates Stadium faithful have demanded the Frenchman leave his post rather than sign a new deal at the club.
Aside from winning the FA Cup, perhaps the only thing that can placate those fans if Wenger stays is a concerted effort to significantly improve the team in the transfer market this summer.
Both Lacazette and Tolisso would be excellent additions to the side.
The former has been as prolific as ever this season, as illustrated by Squawka Football:
Indeed, he also has six more in cup and European competitions to take his overall tally to 29 goals this year.
Football writer Robin Bairner was among many left perplexed by France boss Didier Deschamps' snub of Lacazette when picking his latest squad:
The Frenchman is exactly the kind of player who could give Arsenal the cutting edge they need going forward.
Arsenal's midfield has also been a problem area this season with Santi Cazorla injured, Aaron Ramsey inconsistent, Granit Xhaka ill-disciplined and Francis Coquelin uninspiring.
Tolisso is a central midfielder by trade but has also filled in at No. 10 and up front this season, and he's had an excellent campaign with 11 goals and five assists to his name in all competitions.
Here's a look at his Ligue 1 numbers, courtesy of Squawka:
| Apps | 24 |
| Goals | 6 |
| Assists | 3 |
| Chances Created | 36 |
| Tackles | 28 |
| Headed Duels | 47 |
| Interceptions | 28 |
| Clearances | 36 |
| Pass Completion | 84% |
Football writer Andrew Gibney hailed his impressive "leadership, intelligence and big-game mentality," which are all qualities Arsenal have lacked throughout their team in recent years.
Gibney was delighted when Tolisso deservedly received his first France call-up:
The 22-year-old is evidently an exciting prospect and one who's only likely to get better with time.
Arsenal could do with freshening up their central-midfield options, and Tolisso would make a fine and versatile acquisition.
