Dontari Poe Rumors: Free Agent DT Visits Miami Dolphins
Free agent defensive lineman Dontari Poe met with the Miami Dolphins for nine hours on Wednesday, per Adam Beasley of the Miami Herald.
On Tuesday, Omar Kelly of the Sun Sentinel reported Poe was slated to meet with Miami as long as he didn't agree to a deal with the Atlanta Falcons first.
Kelly noted Poe visited with the Falcons, Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars on Tuesday.

According to Kelly, the 26-year-old Poe is looking for a multi-year contract but will likely settle for a one-year deal to test free agency again next offseason.
Despite the meetings with other teams, Kansas City Chiefs general manager John Dorsey previously said he would like to bring the defensive lineman back:
Poe was a Pro Bowler in 2013 and 2014 and is known as a durable force up front. He has never played fewer than 15 games in any of his five seasons and helped lead the Chiefs to the playoffs in each of the last two seasons.
He has 13 career sacks, but Kelly noted the 6'3" and 346-pound Poe is "primarily viewed as a run-stuffing nose tackle."
Miami finished an abysmal 30th in the league in rushing yards allowed per game last season. Considering it still went 10-6 and made the playoffs, even a moderate improvement against the run could bolster the Dolphins into legitimate contender status.
The addition of Poe would represent more than just a moderate improvement up front.
