The New England Patriots Are Big Fans of Playing Pingpong

In addition to being Super Bowl champions, it turns out that the Patriots are pingpong sharks as well. 

Several of New England's players, including Julian Edelman, Danny Amendola, and Chris Hogan, outed themselves as table tennis enthusiasts. And, if their tweets are any indication, it appears that things get pretty competitive between the guys when the uniforms are off. 

After Edelman shared the above tweet showing a GIF of himself and Amendola playing, Hogan chimed in with a tweet of his own:

Which led to some pretty funny competitive banter between the players:

According to Boston.com's Nicole Yang, Edelman and Amendola play the game about four times a week, and linebacker Rob Ninkovich hosts an annual pingpong event for charity. 

Maybe the basement sport is how champs stay sharp?
