Paul KasabianMar 11, 2017

Duke and Notre Dame will square off in the 2017 ACC men's basketball championship on Saturday.

The No. 5-ranked Blue Devils defeated No. 12 Clemson, No. 4 Louisville and No. 1 North Carolina to get to the final, while No. 3 Notre Dame enjoyed a second-round bye before beating No. 6 Virginia and No. 2 Florida State.

The game will take place at 9 p.m. ET on Saturday, March 11, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn. ESPN will televise the game, and it can be live-streamed on WatchESPN.

Preview and Prediction

Duke has beaten two teams ranked in the top 10 of the Associated Press poll in the last two days and looks like a crew that will go deep in the NCAA tournament thanks to hot outside shooting and elite NBA-level talent.

Sophomore guard Luke Kennard leads Duke with 20.2 points per game on 50.0 percent shooting (44.4 percent from three-point range), and future NBA lottery pick and freshman forward Jayson Tatum posts 16.8 points and 7.3 boards per night.

Those two combined for 44 points in an impressive 93-83 victory over North Carolina on Friday night, in which Duke was down 13 early in the second half.

The praise was particularly effusive for Tatum, who scored 18 of his 24 points in the first half:

As impressive as Duke has been, Notre Dame's performances in the ACC tournament are perhaps even more noteworthy. The Fighting Irish crushed a tough Virginia team, 71-58 and led by as many as 18 points before hanging on to beat Florida State, 77-73 in a game that didn't feel as close as the score indicated.

Notre Dame junior forward Bonzie Colson has averaged 19.5 points and eight rebounds in the ACC tournament. The 6'5", 225-pounder is a supreme pest down low and reminds at least one person, ESPN SportsCenter anchor Max Bretos, of the Round Mound of Rebound:

Led by Colson, four players average at least 13.4 points per game for the Fighting Irish. That quartet—including senior forward V.J. Beachem, junior guard Matt Farrell, senior guard Steve Vasturiaall average least 43.5 percent from the field, 79.5 percent from the free-throw line and 36 percent from three-point range.

This will be a great championship game, but give the edge to the team with the best player on the court in Jayson Tatum, who scored 19 points and grabbed 14 boards in an 84-74 win over Notre Dame earlier this year. He will outduel Colson and lead Duke to the ACC title.

Pick: Duke 82, Notre Dame 79
