Manchester United Transfer News: Antoine Griezmann Content to Stay at Atletico
Manchester United target Antoine Griezmann has said he "sees no reason" to depart Atletico Madrid in the near future despite interest from the Old Trafford giants.
The striker told Spanish television station La 1 (h/t James Whaling of the Mirror) he is currently content in the Spanish capital after hitting the 20-goal mark for his club this term. The Frenchman "was quick to cool any speculation surrounding his future" after once again being questioned about a switch to the Red Devils.

"I always get the same questions about my future and it is getting a bit tiresome.
Like I always say, I am very happy here at Atletico and in Madrid.
The weather is great, my team-mates are some of the best you can have and I am working with a great coach.
So I am feeling very well here. I see no reason why I would want to leave.

According to a report from Duncan Castles of the Daily Record, United believe the player's relationship with Paul Pogba could tempt him to arrive at the Theatre of Dreams.
"In recent months, United have involved Griezmann's friend and international team-mate Pogba in their attempts to sell the club to him as the ideal platform for the next stage of his career," said Castles. "Pogba—who has quickly established himself as a central figure in Mourinho's Manchester United—is said to be 'talking to the boy almost every day to push him to go.'"
Here is Griezmann in action:
The future of Zlatan Ibrahimovic beyond the end of the season remains unclear, with the Swedish icon being linked with a move to America.
Simon Peach of the Press Association (via the Daily Mail) reported Los Angeles Galaxy have entered "conversations" with the striker, which would leave a major hole in the Red Devils' attack if he departs.
After months of speculation, Griezmann's capture would be essential for manager Jose Mourinho if he is to continue United's revival after disappointing campaigns before the Portuguese arrived in Manchester.

The Atleti star has a great chemistry with Pogba at international level, and he could emulate his hero David Beckham by playing for the Red Devils in the famous No. 7 shirt, as Sebastien Bellencontre suggested to So Foot magazine (h/t Goal).
United will need to add a world-class striker in the summer, and the French star is on the cusp of becoming the best finisher on the continent.
