John Thompson III, Chris Mullin Get Heated During Big East Tournament Showdown
Zac WassinkMar 8, 2017
Things got rather heated during the second half of Wednesday's Big East tournament game between the St. John's Red Storm and Georgetown Hoyas at Madison Square Garden.
With under nine minutes remaining in the contest, St. John's forward Amar Alibegovic committed a physical foul on Georgetown's L.J. Peak as Peak drove to the basket.
The benches cleared, and St. John's head coach and former player Chris Mullin spoke with the officials before getting into it with Georgetown coach John Thompson III. The two had to be separated by their own benches before play resumed.
