
Rams DL Ethan Westbrooks Arrested on Suspicion of Domestic Violence
Los Angeles Rams defensive lineman Ethan Westbrooks was arrested Sunday night by the Sacramento Police Department on suspicion of domestic violence.
Alden Gonzalez of ESPN.com reported police responded to a child custody dispute call late Sunday and found injuries to the mother of one of the NFL player's children. He was booked into jail and released Monday.
The report included a statement from the Rams about the situation.

"We are in contact with authorities and are gathering more information," the team said. "Per team policy, we will continue to respect the legal process and have no further comment at this time."

Cathy Locke of the Sacramento Bee noted the injuries suffered were described by police as "non-life-threatening."
Westbrooks went undrafted out of West Texas A&M in 2014 before signing with the Rams.
The defensive end has appeared in 35 games, including two starts, for the organization over the past three seasons. He's registered 48 combined tackles, four sacks, one forced fumble and one fumble recovery in those contests.
Spotrac notes the 26-year-old California native is set to become a restricted free agent when the new league year begins Thursday afternoon.
