Barcelona Brewery Creates Ronald Koeman-Inspired Beer
Ronald Koeman is a popular man in Barcelona.
The current Everton manager's six-year spell as a player in Catalunya, between 1989 and 1995, coincided with a richly successful period in the club's history, and his achievements in the famous blue and red continue to inspire supporters to this day.
The latest tribute to the Dutchman is in the form of a beverage named after his golden hair, derived from the Catalan way of saying "Koeman’s goal," which is "Gol d'en Koeman."

EFE reported (h/t Marca) one of the beer's creators, Pol Doncel, as saying: "We actually came up with the pun before we realised that this year is the 25th anniversary of the Koeman goal from Wembley."
As part of its launch promotion, orange t-shirts and posters will accompany the sale of the product, while those attending the Barcelona Beer Festival will also be able to sup on a refreshing Koeman-themed beverage.
