Hawks Celebrate 'Pistol Pete' Maravich Night with On-Court Montage vs. Cavaliers

During halftime of Friday night's loss to the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, the Atlanta Hawks retired Pete Maravich’s jersey.
Atlanta drafted Pistol Pete third overall in 1970, and he spent four years with the Hawks. He died at age 40 in 1988.
The team orchestrated a mesmerizing montage on the Philips Arena floor before unveiling Maravich's jersey in the rafters alongside four other Hawks—Bob Pettit, Lou Hudson, Dominique Wilkins and Dikembe Mutombo.
