Arsenal Transfer News: Alexis Sanchez, Alexandre Lacazette, Marco Reus Rumours
Arsenal have reportedly resigned themselves to losing Alexis Sanchez and are scouting potential replacements amid reports Juventus have made a €30 million (£25.7 million) bid for the Chilean forward.
According to the Daily Mail's Sami Mokbel, Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette, Borussia Dortmund's Marco Reus and FC Porto's Andre Silva have all been identified as players who could fill Sanchez's boots at the Emirates Stadium.
Mokbel added that Arsenal and the 28-year-old forward seem to have reached a sticking point in their ongoing contract renewal negotiations, and the Gunners will consider cashing in on him in the summer in order not to lose him for free when his deal expires in 2018.

Meanwhile, Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport reported that Juve have stepped up their interest in Chile international Sanchez, via Football Italia:
Juventus would likely be an attractive destination for Sanchez as, unlike Arsenal, they are perennial title winners and have the depth of talent in their squad to compete for the UEFA Champions League—they reached the final in 2015.
Per Mokbel, Arsenal are prepared to increase Sanchez's current wages from £130,000 per week to £180,000 per week, but he will accept nothing below £250,000.
Given the discrepancy, it seems unlikely a deal will be agreed before Sanchez enters the final year of his contract in the summer, and Arsenal will then be in a position of having to sell him if they are to make any money back.
Mooted targets Lacazette, Reus and Silva would be suitable replacements as they are all natural goalscorers.
| Alexis Sanchez (Premier League) | 24(1) | 2146 | 17 | 8 |
| Alexandre Lacazette (Ligue 1) | 21(1) | 1827 | 22 | 2 |
| Marco Reus (Bundesliga) | 9(1) | 717 | 2 | 4 |
| Andre Silva (Primeira Liga) | 22 | 1877 | 13 | 4 |
Frenchman Lacazette, 25, and Portuguese Silva, 21, are traditional centre-forwards, unlike Sanchez, although the former Barcelona man has played predominantly in the No. 9 role for Arsenal in 2016-17, where he has thrived.
Germany international Reus, 27, is more of a playmaker and can act as both creator and goalscorer in equal measure, but his injury record is a concern.
If Arsenal do lose Sanchez, they will be without arguably the most important player in their squad and will need to sign a high-profile forward to fill the hole he will leave.
Reus and Lacazette fit the bill given they have shown consistent excellence over a number of seasons. Silva would be more of a risk as it is only in the current campaign that he has broken out as a star for Porto.
But they are all quality players and, if Arsenal are indeed already scouting for a replacement, they should not be left in too dire a situation if they lose Sanchez in the summer.
