Two hours after signing Jose Calderon, the Golden State Warriors waived him to make room for Matt Barnes.

An injury to Kevin Durant prompted them to cut the point guard loose for a forward. At least the veteran will always have the brief tenure to remember.

And a jersey that was never worn. And a check significantly larger than most people's annual salary.

Shortly after the signing, the Warriors crafted a uniform for Calderon. He never got the opportunity to don the new jersey, captured by USA Today's Michael Singer. At least the 35-year-old received $415,000 for his troubles, per Sam Amick of USA Today:

The only way it could get sweeter for Calderon is if Golden State also gives him a championship ring.
