High Schooler Stuns Opponent with GW Full-Court Shot Off Missed Free Throw
Nursing a two-point lead with five-tenths of a second to play in the Indiana state tournament against Central Christian Academy, the Arlington Golden Knights appeared poised to advance to the next round.
They found out the hard way that as long as there is time on the clock, anything can happen.
The Golden Knights opted to miss the second of two free throws, assuming the Chargers would not be able to do anything with the rebound and virtually no time left.
Shockingly, Central Christian Academy's Josh Clanton managed to get the ball and launch up a prayer...and his prayer was answered.
It's one of those shots the player couldn't make again if he tried. No, really—he has been unable to replicate the shot:
As Kyle Neddenriep of the Indianapolis Star pointed out, Clanton made the one that counts. That's all that matters.
