Northwestern PG Ashley Deary Ties Shoe with Ball, Rutgers Steals It and Scores

Thomas DuffyFeb 24, 2017

During Northwestern's 60-38 win over the Rutgers Scarlet Knights on Thursday, Wildcats point guard Ashley Deary tried to tie her shoe while bringing up the ball.

Things went downhill from there.

Deary first looked to a referee for a stoppage, but the official just shrugged. Rutgers guard Khadaizha Sanders swooped in and knocked Deary to the floor while stealing the ball and then set up Shrita Parker for an easy bucket.
