Steph Curry Closes Warriors' 50-Point Quarter with 2 Incredible 3s
The Golden State Warriors led the Los Angeles Clippers 92-85 with under 35 seconds to go in the third quarter Thursday when two-time NBA MVP Stephen Curry went to work.
Curry's first noteworthy feat occurred when he drained a three while drawing contact from Los Angeles guard Raymond Felton, and his converted free throw extended Golden State's lead to 96-85.
As remarkable as that was, Curry's best was yet to come.
The 28-year-old almost lost his dribble near the top of the key with under four seconds left in the period, but he composed himself and then threw up an off-balance buzzer-beater that circled into the rim to the delight of the home crowd inside Oracle Arena.
The Warriors outscored the Clippers 50-26 in the third, and Golden State put the matter to bed before the halfway point of the fourth.
