Manchester City Transfer News: Sergio Aguero Discusses Future, Latest Rumours
Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero has revealed it will not be his decision whether he leaves the Etihad Stadium at the end of the season, but he insisted he wants to remain at the club.
Speaking after City's thrilling 5-3 UEFA Champions League victory over AS Monaco on Tuesday, the Argentinian marksman said he gets on very well with manager Pep Guardiola, per MailOnline's Jack Gaughan and Will Griffee:
"As I've always said I want to be here at the club, I've always said that at the end of the season it won't be my decision.
The truth is that with these things it's the club that handles everything, and obviously it's always my intention to stay.
We (Guardiola) get on very well. What he wants, above everything, from all the players is that we push a little more.

Rumours about Aguero's future at City had recently emerged after Guardiola benched the 28-year-old for new signing Gabriel Jesus, per John Cross and Darren Lewis in the Mirror. However, the Brazilian broke his foot earlier this month, ruling him out for the rest of the season.
Aguero proved his enduring quality against Monaco at the Etihad as he netted twice in a breathtaking encounter, per BT Sport Football:
His current contract with City runs until 2019 and, given his continuing excellence and importance to the club, it would be a huge surprise were the Sky Blues to let him go in the summer.
Jesus is clearly a huge talent, but he is only 19 and will have periods where he is out of form.
Aguero remains the best striker City have on their books and is arguably one of the best front men in the world.
Since joining City from Atletico Madrid in 2011, Aguero has won two Premier League titles and netted 113 English top-flight goals in 169 appearances.
That quality of goalscoring is difficult to come by and, given that Aguero himself is clearly eager to remain at City, it seems highly unlikely he will be sold by the club any time soon.
