The Rock Calls CM Punk, Leaves Voicemail in Middle of the Ring After WWE Raw

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson wasn't featured during Monday Night Raw at Staples Center, but the Los Angeles crowd still got to see him when he called CM Punk from the ring.

Brendan Morrow of Heavy.com noted Johnson came out after Raw on Monday because he was filming a scene in an upcoming movie (Fighting With My Family) he is producing about the life of wrestler Paige. The producers used the ring time to recreate a match between actors playing Paige and AJ Lee, who is married to Punk in real life.

The crowd chanted Punk's name at the mention of Lee, which spurred Johnson to call the former WWE superstar and current MMA fighter. He left a voicemail, as Colt – WWE Coverage shared on Twitter:

While the return of Punk to WWE may be a long shot, fans in Staples Center at least got to show him some love Monday.
