Emmanuel Sanders' Estranged Wife Claims WR Lied to Broncos About Birth of Child
The estranged wife of Denver Broncos wide receiver Emmanuel Sanders says he lied to the team regarding the birth of their child so that he could party rather than attend practice, according to divorce documents filed in Texas.
According to TMZ Sports, Gabriella Sanders said the former Pro Bowler missed a practice in November—supposedly for the birth of their second child. The Broncos issued a statement Nov. 21 excusing Sanders from practice for the "pending birth of his child."
Gabriella Sanders gave birth in December.

The Broncos had no comment on the allegations when contacted by Nicki Jhabvala of the Denver Post. However, a source told Troy Renck of Denver7 "Sanders was transparent during his absence" from practice and was excused, adding that he has the team's support.
Gabriella Sanders filed for divorce in October and was granted a temporary restraining order. According to new documents filed in the case, Gabriella says Emmanuel committed "atrocities" during their marriage, most notably infidelity.
Emmanuel Sanders played in all 16 games during the 2016 season, recording 79 receptions for 1,032 yards and five touchdowns. He has gone over 1,000 yards receiving in each of his three seasons with the Broncos.
TMZ reached out to Sanders' representation for a comment on the allegations but has not heard back.
