Canucks D Alex Edler Drills 'Knuckle Puck' Goal from Center Ice vs. Flames

Baseball catchers need a special mitt to catch knuckleball pitchers.

Hockey goalies experience no such luxury.

After nearly 13 scoreless minutes in the first period of Saturday's game between the Calgary Flames and Vancouver Canucks, defenseman Alex Edler slapped a wobbler from center ice.

Flames goalie Brian Elliott couldn't square it up, and the puck dived under his glove and into the net.

Vancouver won, 2-1.
