Bale Caps Comeback with Goal as Real Madrid Go Four Points Clear at the Top

James MontagueFeb 18, 2017

Gareth Bale wasted little time in announcing his return to action for Real Madrid, coming off the bench to score Los Blancos' second in Saturday afternoon's comfortable 2-0 triumph over Espanyol.

Having replaced Alvaro Morata midway through the second half, the Welshman, last in action 88 days ago, needed just 12 minutes to get his name on the scoresheet, latching on to Isco's through ball before nestling a crisp left-footed strike beyond the reach of Espanyol goalkeeper Diego Lopez.

It's official. Bale is back.
