MMA Fighter Breaks His Foe With Barrage of Knees

Brian OswaldFeb 16, 2017

Don't let anyone tell you otherwise: MMA is a brutal affair. And perhaps the most devastating weapon is the knee.

Jarel Askew unleashed nearly a dozen on Charlie Johnson in the co-main event of Alaska Fighting Championship 129 on Wednesday night.

Askew was able to get Johnson up against the fence, where he then delivered, by our count, 11 knees in quick succession. Somehow Johnson survived for way longer than he should have, though he eventually succumbed, dropping to the canvas and covering up.

In victory, Askew won AFC's welterweight belt. He improved his record in professional MMA to 10-4. Johnson picked up the first loss of his career, dropping to 5-1.
